Hi there,

I think I have the solution to your problem. Here's what to do: Open
Outlook Express and click Tools and then Options. If "When starting go
directly to my Inbox folder" and "Send and receive messages at
startup" are both checked that is what could be causing the duplicate
messages. If both those options are checked, remove the checkbox from
either one of them and your problem should go away.

Duplicate Messages in OE

Why does OE show duplicate messages in my Hotmail or IMAP account?

If changing the options as shown above doesn't work there's another
possible solution. Your problem could be caused because the file that
holds the Hotmail messages on your computer is damaged. Please follow
the directions in the link below to fix the file and hopefully stop
the duplicate messages.

Hotmail Messages are Downloaded Twice

If either of these solutions fail to solve your problem please come
back and request clarfication before rating this answer and I'll be
happy to help.

Thanks,
Deadlychiapet
