problem connecting to internet.

right after connecting, got connection notice - connection strength
excellent, but when she opened her browser, she got proxy error - http
proxy report, proxy server encountered error, host 0.0.0.1
unreachable.  went into IO/connections tab - no check in proxy or any
other lan settings.  

this is one instance of many people who have this problem.  i know
0.0.0.1 is typical of a popup blocker kicking in, but all claim to not
have one.  what else can be doing this?

Go to the Start and then run. Type in cmd, and press ok. In the
command prompt type in "ipv6 if", and if it comes up with a bunch of
info you have IP version 6 installed. Then type in "ipv6 uninstall",
and it will disable IP Version 6 and ask you to restart. Restart the
PC, and when it comes back up try and connect to the internet, and you
shouldn't have the proxy error anymore.
