LESTER M. "BABY FACE NELSON" GILLIS

Born Lester M. Gillis (1908-1934), "Baby Face" Nelson earned his
nickname due to his youthful countenance and 5'4" stature. A talented
car thief by the age of fourteen, this landed him in a boy?s home in
1922. Joining Al Capone?s gang after his release, Gillis served as a
general thug and quickly moved on to burglary. Sent to prison in 1931
for bank robbery, he escaped a year later and remained at large until
1934 when he died following an FBI gun battle.

CHARLES ARTHUR "PRETTY BOY" FLOYD

A colorful and daring modern outlaw, Charles Arthur "Pretty Boy" Floyd
(1904-1934) became a popular part of American folklore when dust bowl
balladeer Woody Guthrie composed a song about Floyd?s life. A
rumrunner and accomplished bank robber, he earned his moniker when
described to police as "a pretty boy with apple cheeks." J. Edgar
Hoover?s vendetta to annihilate him included the blame that Floyd was
involved in the infamous Kansas City Massacre, an accusation that
Floyd denied until the end of his life.

AL "SCARFACE" CAPONE

Alphonse Gabriel "Scarface" Capone (1899-1947), possibly the 20th
century?s most infamous gangster, was nicknamed after a bar fight in
which his face was slashed by a patron?s knife. An early schoolmate
of Salvatore "Lucky Luciano" Lucania, Capone was first a racketeer for
Johnny "The Fox" Torrio?s mob and eventually commanded its operations
by 1925. Hotly pursued by legendary FBI agent Elliot Ness, Capone?s
criminal dealings eluded police evidence so deftly that he was finally
incarcerated in Alcatraz prison on a tax fraud conviction.

GEORGE "MACHINE GUN" KELLY BARNES

Born George Kelly Barnes (1895-1954) to a wealthy Tennessee family,
"Machine Gun Kelly" was so nicknamed after his weapon of choice. A
successful bootlegger by age 20, Barnes later moved on to bank
robbing, and in 1933 he conspired with gangster Boss Shannon in the
kidnapping of millionaire Charles F. Urschel who was later released,
assisting in bringing his captors to justice. Credited with giving
FBI agents the moniker "G-men," Barnes died in prison on his 59th
birthday.

The Barrow Gang that included Clyde?s brother, Buck, and Buck?s wife,
Blanche. Robbing banks, gas stations and small businesses across the
nation, Bonnie and Clyde were killed in a 1934 police ambush. Toward
the end if their crime spree, Parker, a petite (4?11")
strawberry-blonde, immortalized their lives and love by authoring and
