Hi lucyfur,

Thank you for another interesting question! :)

The word Blog comes from 2 words: WEB LOG, or weblog, and Weblogs were
named by Jorn Barger in December 1997.

A person's blog on the Web (World Wide Web - WWW) is almost like an
open diary or a journal. Postings on a blog are generally arranged in
a cronological order with the most recent or current addition featured
first. A calendar or archived links for past pages may accompany the
blog on the side of the page which allows the visitor to click on a
day and read what was posted that day.

Nowadays, blogs generally have a link at the bottom of each entry
"your comments" and the reader can login and posts comments.

Tradition websites don't have that option.

Blog - Definition

A frequent, chronological publication of personal thoughts and Web links.

A blog is often a mixture of what is happening in a person's life and
what is happening on the Web, a kind of hybrid diary/guide site,
although there are as many unique types of blogs as there are people.

People maintained blogs long before the term was coined, but the trend
gained momentum with the introduction of automated published systems,
most notably Blogger at blogger.com. Thousands of people use services
such as Blogger to simplify and accelerate the publishing process.

Blogs are alternatively called web logs or weblogs. However, "blog"
seems less likely to cause confusion, as "web log" can also mean a
server's log files.

Definitions of Blog -- (weB LOG) on the Web:

A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The
activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog
is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that
allows people with little or no technical background to update and
maintain the blog. Postings on a blog are almost always arranged in
cronological order with the most recent additions featured most
prominantly.

keeps a blog is a "blogger."

Hi lucyfur,

I'm not sure what you mean when you stated: "but at what site can I
find the bloggers posted?"

Are you asking me to direct you to a list of blogs?

Are you asking me direct you to blogs which have the option for logged
in visitors to post comments?

Thanks,
tlspiegel
