Question ID: 391406
I am trying to find a photograph taken at the 1978 World Cup in
Argentina, I think at the end of the final. The picture is of two
Argentinian footballers hugging each other on the ground. Also in the
picture is a spectactor looking extremely happy, however he cannot
join in the hug as he has no arms. It is a very powerful photograph

Please note that what I am wanting to do is to buy a copy of this
photograph to be framed. I am living in Belgium and so would prefer
somewhere as easy as possible.

I am sorry that I do not know the people in the photograph. I saw it
once in a sports magazine (UK) that had previously run a "50 Best
Sports Photographs in the World" supplement. A reader had written in
to say that actually this photograph should have been in the
supplement and the photo was published.

Missing marvel

?Thank you for an amazing collector's item. I was marvelled by each
and every one of the photos you selected. However, there is one
picture that, in my view, is missing. It's by Argentine photographer
Ricardo Alfieri. It's known as 'The heart's embrace' and was taken
immediately after the 1978 World Cup Final. The players involved are
keeper Ubaldo Fillol and defender Alberto Tarantini. The armless man
running towards them is a fan. I find this picture one of the most
emotional sports pictures ever taken and, whether you overlooked it or
left it out, I think it is worth a mention.?

?The armless fan is Victor Dell'Aquila, a double amputee since the age
of 12 and a passionate Boca Juniors fan. I had the pleasure of meeting
Victor, Ubaldo Fillol and Alberto Tarantini at the twenty-fifth
anniversary celebration of Argentina's first World Cup triumph in
June. Neither Fillol and Tarantini knew Victor was standing next to
them when this photo was taken. It was only when they saw it in the
newspapers that they realised its full emotion, particularly Fillol.

Hugging and crying with his best friend Tarantini, Fillol said he
sensed an almost spiritual presence that left him feeling strange and
bewildered. When he saw the photo, he realised why he had felt the way
he did. A photograph reveals many things.?

Bobie7 gave more than what I wanted. This photo was very important for
me. Thank you. By the way, I am not sure how Bobie7 gets paid, is it
automatic? Please let me know if I need to do something else.
