During the 1930's, European firms made toy soldiers and dolls out of
various mixtures of glue and sawdust. Handsomely painted, these have
become quite collectible ($50 and upward) and fun.

I have a Canadian Mountie about 4" tall that needs some repair. I see
that there are thousands of these toys for sale, and many hobby shops
sell modern variations. Some sites indicate that there are repair kits
-- using ribbon epoxy and similar items.

But I want to be certain. Can anyone help me find a site that is
discussing the repair? I want to now what are the materials and the
sources of these materials to make a repair? Can we discover the
correct glue, the correct filler to make the composition compounds at
home?

I'd like to be proud of my little toy figure and I want to repair it properly.
