Hi-
Right clicking an address gives the 'Google Search' option (with the G
Toolbar installed). Searching an address gives a link to Yahoo! Maps
or Mapquest.

At most points, there is the zip code with a four-digit extension.
Today, there is not.

1) Is this a permanent change?
2) When did this happen (I think the last few months)?
3) Why did this happen?
4) Is there another place to quickly (probably not as fast as the
above) learn the four digit zip code extensions, given an address?
Thanks,
-Brett

I see the zip+4 just fine using mapquest.... Not sure why you
don't,but you can also look them up at the postal service at:

"841 E. Cordova St. Pasadena , CA"

Does not show the 4-digit extension.

I should have checked a few more before submitting this question; for
many addresses, I see the zip+4, too. Since 3) is the only logical
answerable question, and you answered 4), feel free to change your
comment to an answer (if you can), and I'll give you a good rating.

For 5-stars, and a tip, I'd like to know why 841 doesn't show the
zip+4 in either mapquest or yahoo.
Thank you,
-Brett

If you just enter cordova st Pasadena CA into the web site I listed
above, you can see all of the known addresses on that street. It
appears that the postal service is not aware of any building with that
address. Here are the other zip+4s for that street:

721 CORDOVA ST APT (Range 1 - 6)
PASADENA CA 91101-2526
 Carrier Route: C003
County: LOS ANGELES

721 CORDOVA ST APT (Range 7 - 11)
PASADENA CA 91101-2527
 Carrier Route: C003
County: LOS ANGELES

721 CORDOVA ST
PASADENA CA 91101-2555
 Carrier Route: C003
County: LOS ANGELES

(ODD Range 701 - 749) CORDOVA ST
PASADENA CA 91101-2517
 Carrier Route: C003
County: LOS ANGELES

(ODD Range 751 - 799) CORDOVA ST
PASADENA CA 91101-2617
 Carrier Route: C003
County: LOS ANGELES

 (ODD Range 901 - 999) CORDOVA ST
PASADENA CA 91106-2909
 Carrier Route: C058
County: LOS ANGELES

999 CORDOVA ST
PASADENA CA 91106-2913
 Carrier Route: C058
County: LOS ANGELES

Note that there is no record of a building at 841 - Since the postal
service assigns the zip+4 and they do not appear to have a record of a
building at that address, I would assume that there is no zip+4 for
that address. Mapquest can still map it, based on a guess from the
street number, but probably does not have an exact match.

Unfortunatly, I am not a google researcher so I am not allowed to
answer your question - only make comments. If your question is
answered, I believe you can expire the question.

Your latest information is not as helpful as the first, but thank you.
My search is for knowledge. The building is less than a year old, why
doesn't the postal company know about it as soon as the
zoning/permitting is done? It should be listed in postal listings
before the building opens for customers, right?

Maybe this question is about building
requirements/regulations/ramificationss and postal service practices,
but that would be more than a $3 question.

Your information is great. If a paid researcher wants to add better
details, I'd love to pay you, and tip him! Don't know how Google runs
with that, hopefully karma will win out in the end...
Thanks again,
