What is the elevation of Lafayette Park at the PID HV1832 marker?

Oddly enough, the data sheets for the PID markers don't come with sea
level data, but instead use the amazingly convoluted height
computations of the National Geodesic Survey, who tend to favor things
like "geoid height", "ellisoid height", and so on. Although these are
related to sea level, it's not clear (to me, at least) just what the
realtion is.

However, for two bucks I can certainly point you to the PID datasheet
for HV1832, and you can take it from there.

Let me know what you think.

What I really need to know is the elevation above sea-level of
Lafayette Park in Washington, D.C. I assumed that the PID marker in
the park would be linked to that information. However, the PID
datasheet would be a useful step in finding the answer. So as you
say, for two bucks, pointing me to the PID datasheet for HV1832 would
be good.

Maybe this topo map is more to the point:

http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=38.89917&lon=-77.03639

It shows the 60-foot elevation line running directly through Lafayette Park.

Is that what you need?

Yes. That is good enough for my needs. Thanks for your help. Is
there anything else I need to do for you to claim the $2?
