Below you will find the results of my research regarding Apple's
historical worldwide market share of the PC market (according to IDC)
starting with the latest numbers and going back in time.

According to research firm IDC, current figures put Apple share at
around 2 percent worldwide.

Excerpt:

?This year is no different. Apple's computer sales are up, but its
share of the market isn't. For its first three months of its 2004
fiscal year, the company sold 829,000 computers, 12 percent more than
in the first quarter of its 2003 fiscal year; unit sales across the
industry, meanwhile, grew 16 percent, according to research firm IDC.
Apple's share of the personal-computer market is as low as ever, if
not lower -- current figures put Apple share at around 2 percent
worldwide.?

'others'. Apple is estimated to have between 2 and 3% of the worldwide
market.?
