How many commercial messages (advertisements) is the average American
subjected to each day? I'm not looking for just TV ads, I want all
ads. I can't find a solid number, I've seen people saying everything
from 254 to 8,000. (://www.google.com/search?q=%22*+commercial+messages+every+day%22&hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&safe=off&start=30&sa=N)

I'm looking for the original source: a study I can quote or the name
of a person who can authoritatively state the number. (If you come
across any comparative data form earlier years, I wouldn't mind that,
either. :) )
