Hello,
please, can anyone provide me with latin transcription of the text of
the entry "pezulj" in "Bulgarski etimologicen recnik, Vol. 5, Sofia
1996" or better with the German or Englisch translation of it? If you
do not have said book, I can provide you with some - unfortunately
lower quality - scans of the relevant pages. |

Dear Pezi

Dear Blackbird,
the scans are in jpg format (I tried to enhance quality). If you can
provide me with an email address, I could send it to you. If you
can't, I'll check, if I can somewhere get webspace. So, please let me
no, which way you'd prefer.
Im not quite sure, how many words are involved. Its two small pages
and it starts with the entry "pezul" and I guess derivatives of that
word. There are a lot of comments in brackets, which I think may be
source references. If so, I don't need them to be translated)
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards

Dear Pezi
I would be happy to look at your jpg online if you can upload it (I'm
sorry but researchers cannot communicate directly by email with
customers). Please note, unless the entry is very brief, I may be able
to provide only a transcription but not a translation.

Dear Blackbird,
the scans can be found on
http://www.pezi-ga.de.vu/
I tried to improve the scans for reading. I think it will work for
people who are able to speak/read Bulgarian, since knowing vocabulary
(hopefully) makes recognizing easier.
Maybe we can handle it that way, that you provide me with
transcription(s) and I'll ask for translation of just some significant
parts of it.(?)
Many thanks in advance.

Dear Pezi
Thank you for posting your JPGs. Unfortunately not all the letters are
clear enough for me to be able to give you an accurate transcription
as I'm not familiar enough with Bulgarian to fill in the gaps with
educated guesses (I can transcribe the Cyrillic alphabet but not
necessarily read the language unless it's Russian). Perhaps you can
find a way of producing a more legible scan?
Sorry I can't be of more help at the moment.
Kind regards

Dear Blackbird,
you don't have to excuse, I should do it for providing you with such
such scans. Unfortunately I havn't got the original sheets and the
person who provided me with the scans hasn't got the possibility to
produce better scans. I could only try to enhance the pictures more,
but I think this would not help to much.
As I understand Serbocroatic, which is quite similar to Bulgarian, I
could probably fill the gaps, cou can't fill. Or I simply have to
hope, that someone has the original sheets and is able translating it.
At the moment I'm a bit clueless.
However this will end. Thanks at least for trying it.
Kind regards
