I believe that global warming is real and that this fact hasn't sunk
in for most people yet.

I believe that this has created investment opportunities. Please name
me types of companies and/or specific companies whose stock can
reasonably be expected to rise once it hits the masses that the
effects of global warming are present and real and that these effects
will increase.

Should I be buying stocks in companies that own real estate in
northern areas? Should I be buying air conditioning or water
irrigation equipment companies? Is it a good idea to buy cheap land on
the north side of Canadian cities? How can I profit from the fact
that most people don't yet strongly feel that global warming is a real
and present change factor?

It is just a feeling ... but investing in ice cream parlors in
Greenland and Spitzbergen might prove quite profitable.

ECONOMIC ASPECTS:
Global warming is big business. Some economists argue that a warmer
climate could benefit certain crops and the farming communities.
However, property insurers are predicting that worsening storms caused
by global warming could eventually bankrupt the insurance industry.
Insurance companies are now trying to form strategic alliances, and
pool resources which could cover severe economic loss from climatic
changes.

Personally I suggest investing in products/companies that actively
claim to be 'environmentally friendly'. With the recent global
warming projections (weather true or not) more people will be trying
to find ways to save the planet.

Augusta, you are a true entrepreneur.
