I would first verify that there is no spyware/adware/malware on the machine. I have seen this as a symptom of infection before. Here are some good tools to use to check: Ad-aware SE (there is a free version for download, I believe) Spybot Search & Destroy (avail for free at http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html) Hijack this (this is good for BHO's which infect the browser, but you must use the related forum for instructions on what to remove. DO NOT just select stuff to remove on your own, as you could leave your system unusable) hth J. |

Try to click the URL with the Shift key pressed.A new window will open too. Maybe you system has been damaged by virus, use an antivirus software such as Norton and live update it to latest to scan your computer. If you are sure that it was not the virus, download the IE from microsoft and install it again.Or,you can try another brownser. |

I found this in the Microsoft KB that might help. "You cannot open a new Internet Explorer window or nothing occurs after you click a link" http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679 Andrew |
