How much time do you have? What kind of hat is it? If it doesn't have a stiff brim, then just soak it overnight in bleach and water. If it has a stiff brim, just wet it with the bleach-water mix and leave it in the sun to dry. You might have to do that a few times. |

I tied mine to a tree with a long chain and left it on the beach for a couple of weeks. The tide came and went and the sun beat down on it. Looked very cool after a while. Don't know if you're anywhere near a suitable place but try it if you are... |

How about on the parcel shelf of a car, the glass will accelerate the process. Kate |

Wash it, wash it, wash it... Whenever you do your laundry, wash it. Then when you're all done washing it, put it outside, or in a window, or in the sun. Keep it in a very hot environment too. When you wash it don't use the brand Tide or other brands that specifically keep color in. That's how I fade my stuff. |
