Who are the top US healthcare investors among Venture Capitalists,
Private Equity Firms, or other Investment Firms of Healthcare and
Medical Devices in particular?

I'm looking for profiles of the top 5-10 investors to understand their
investment philosophy, focus, total investment $, clinical area focus,
regional interests.

2005 venture capital investments into biotech went up 5% from 2004 to $7.3 bln. 

?MPM Capital led the top 10 venture firms by number of investments
during 2005, having participated in 17 investments, followed by Alta
Partners, Domain Associates and HealthCap, each with 15 investments?
