I'm interested in results for US or Europe.
Many thanks

Hello Diana07,

On average a person spends an estimated 45 to 62 minutes waiting everyday.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

45 minutes a day

?Everyday you waste time. Whether it?s filling up a tank of gas,
waiting for an elevator, or waiting to download a program- we waste
minutes. The average human wastes about 45 minutes a day in addition
to any free time they have.?

62 minutes a day.

The below paragraph states: ?in 70 years, the average person spends at
least 3 years waiting.?

I calculated that those 3 years would be approximately 4.3% of time
spent waiting or 62 minutes a day.

Excerpt:

?Waiting, an inevitable and even necessary aspect of human life is not
something that most of us relish. We wait in lines: in order to
purchase groceries; to be served at popular restaurants; to be
attended to in a bank; at stop signs and traffic signals; at amusement
parts; to see a play or film. We must also wait for flowers to grow
and bloom; for babies to be born; for wounds to heal; for bread to
rise and cheese to age; for children to mature; for friends to call;
for love to deepen. Statisticians have estimated that in a lifetime of
70 years, the average person spends at least three years waiting!?

Five years of life waiting

?If the average American spends five years of life waiting for things
? what can you do to make those five years more productive or fewer?

Use a mobile computer so you can be making notes or working while
waiting in line or for the doctor. I like to take along some of the
business magazines I receive and flip through the articles while
waiting.!?

Hi Bobbie7,
Many thanks for these great results!
The 45 to 62 minutes waiting time is the only information more based
on the personal estimations from the authors.
Do you believe there's a chance to find more scientific or statistic
answers on this topic?
Best regards,

Dear Diana07,

Thank you for your clarification. I searched for hours yesterday
