zkirsh-ga,

According to the Federal Reserve Bank, 5% of families in the US had an
average net worth of $2.7 million or more (in 2001).

Above that level, I've found it's almost impossible to tease out any
statistics about wealth, until one gets to the ultra-wealthy, who are
listed in surveys like the Fortune list of the wealthiest 100
Americans.


Does the FRB number help, at all?

thanks for the info from the frb......i'm very familiar with forbes
studies. apparently the lowest of the 400 wealthiest are worth upwards
of 900 million.
I want specific numbers for over 100 million. 

I've looked at the irs website....and saw a stat more or less
comparable with the frb's stat. i actually raised the compensation
from the originial 2$ offered to 15$ offered now because upon more
interent research i realized that this is difficult to find specific
info.

sorry...but i really want a firm number , not a percentile for
americans worth above a certain amount. I guess if you could get a
percentile for those above 100 million, that would be good. but thanks
for your info anyways.
