I totally disagree with Probo!

If the South had won, they would have made overtures to Britain to be
re-admitted to what would become known as 'the Empire' and, after
making appropriate reparations, the whole country would have been
re-colonised.

All citizens of the Americas would have been required to pledge
allegiance to the Crown and in time there would have been complete
Anglicisation.

This would include:

1: Driving on the Left

2: No NTSC

3: Proper spelling

4: No guns

5: No Michael Moore

6: No Coca Cola

7: No MacDonalds

8: No silly wars e.g. Vietnam, Iraq

9: Energy Conservation

10: No Global Warming

Wow!

Things could have been SO MUCH better.

Is it too late to change?

I the south had won the civil war, Ho Chi Minh City would still be
named Saigon and Nixon probably wouldn't have had to resign.

Hi miko: Some of those are well thought out, and might have happened that way.
4 some reduction in guns 5,6,7 not these specific items, equivalents
would likely abound.
8 Different silly wars. There is a good chance Adolph Hitler would
have defeated the UK in 1943 with the USA a colony, or the South a
separate country.
10 If global warming is only slightly caused by humans, average
global temperature would be about 0.05 degrees c = 0.09 degrees f
cooler than now.

I think it is too late to change: the rich and powerful (some of them
British) seem to have the USA right where they want us. Neil

Er, Neilzero

Well, I am British ...

And yes, we are planning to invade in 2005 ...

Why?

To blow up all those Coke plantations & those Burger mills.

So watch out!

Mike
