Hi phroggiefrog, No, Clonazepam (Klonapin) does not cause false positives for cocaine. however, it will give a false positive for Benzo's (Benzodiazepines): TOXICOLOGY DRUG TESTING TID BITS http://www.ncsconline.org/wc/publications/Res_JudEdu_SubstanceAbuseMaterial19Pub.pdf Substances or Conditions which can cause a false positive in a cocaine drug test are: ~~ Kidney Infection (kidney disease) ~~ Liver Infection (liver disease) ~~ Diabetes ~~ Amoxicillin ~~ Tonic water ~~ Novocain (and other products ending in 'cain' Medications & Substances Causing False Positives http://www.passyourdrugtest.com/false-positives.htm Drug Test False Positive Results http://www.ipassedmydrugtest.com/false_positives.asp Dental/Medical treatments: http://www.passthetest.com/false_positives.htm Cain-based products, especially Novocain, have been known to cause false positives for cocaine. Just a minor clarification of the terrific answer. Clonazepam will test positive for benzo's because it is a benzo. no disrespect meant. -dave |
