The United States initiated the space race with the Russians back in the 60s. 
Now China is getting more involved with space technologies. What were the exact 
dates of the first manned space mission from the United States, Russia and 
China? Who were aboard these missions? Have there been any other manned space 
missions from other countries?

(1)First manned Russina Space Mission:

Date: April 12 1961.
Flight name: VOSTOK
(VOSTOK's flight duration in space: 108 minutes,altitude:327km,weight:9400 
pounds,length 4.4 meter, diameter 2.43 meter )
On board: Yuri A. Gagarin (first russsina to go on sapce)
Time: 9:07 a.m. flight(SL-3)launched,9:26 a.m. first words from Gagarin from   
      space,10:55 a.m. Gagarin Back on earth.

(2) First United States manned Space Mission:

Date: May 5 1961
Flight name: Freedom 7 (Mercury Capsule)
On board: Alan Shepard (first american to go in Sapce)

Guess that will be 1984-04-02 instead!
