In the very new and very lame US song entitled, "Vertigo", Bono
introduces the song with the opening lyrics, "uno, dos, tres,
catorce". Loosely translated into english this means, one, two,
three, fourteen". Is Bono a Bonehead that merely doesn't know how to
count? or is he poor at spanish? and What does this line mean?

Upon some further investigation, I found a rumor that Jack Tripper (as
played by John Ritter in the Sitcom, "Three's Company") also used the
"uno, dos, tres, catorce" line. Is this rumor true? Are Bono and
Jack Tripper one in the same person? Did Bono copy Jack Tripper? Is
this merely a coincedence? If this is true where can I buy that
episode of Three's Company?

I think this harks back to the famous opening line of Wooly Bully:

Uno...dos...one...two...tres...quatro...

thus giving liberty to all future musicians to count just the way they
want, no explanations needed.

It's Bono's homage to the late John Ritter...

U2's latest Album "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" was their 14th
release (disacknowledging Passengers and Outside, It's America EPs).

As it turns out, Bono speaks decent Spanish--so it was not, as widely
reported, a mistake.

Hope this helps.
