I am trying to find information on an entity called "Operation Share
Inc Ltd". I know that one of the directors is Michael D. Houghton, and
that they have board meetings in London. I would like to find out
where they are located, what their charter is, and get information on
their financials -- preferably a copy of a recent quarterly or annual
report. Who have they invested in? Etc.

Operation Share is a fairly small company, and as such, there is not a
great deal of information publicly available.

However, they do show up in several business databases, and also file
publicly-accessible reports with the UK government, so I have been
able to put together a fair amount of information.

Dun and Bradstreet has a listing for Operation Share Inc Ltd, which
you can you see at:

by selecting [ UK ] for the country to search, and entering [
Operation Share ] in the company name search box. The information
that D&B makes available at no charge includes:

3 Durrant Road
Bournemouth, GB BH2 6LE [NOTE...address code should be 6NE]

Note that D&B has available a more in-depth report on the company that
can be purchased at their site:

Business Information Report
List Price: $114.99
You can click on the link by the report to see a sample "Business
Information Report" in order to determine if this would be of interest
to you.

Operation Share also reports regularly to Companies House, the UK
government authority with oversight for business reporting. The
Operation Share reports are available directly from the Companies
House website for a small fee (only one pound sterling per report).

You can begin searching for company reports here:

and a search on your company returns several reports, with information
that includes:

Company No. 00980207

Status: Active
Date of Incorporation: 21/05/1970
Country of Origin: United Kingdom
Company Type: Private Limited Company
Nature of Business (SIC(92)):
7420 - Architectural, technical consult
7487 - Other business activities
Previous Names:
Date of change Previous Name

On the right hand side of the results page is a link to: "Order
information on this company" which will lead to a site where you can
download company filings for a small fee.

I had a look at the company reports, and here is some of the key
additional information they contain:

52 Haven Road
Canford Cliffs
BH13 7LV

122,296 owed to creditors.

A note in their financial statement says:

"The company owns 50% of the issued share capital of Chieftan Marketing Limited"

That seems to be all that is readily available on Operation Share.
There may be more detailed information in the commercially-available
credit reports such as the one available from Dun & Bradstreet, but
you can't really know that for certain unless you decide to purchase
the actual report.

I trust this information fully answers your question. However, please
don't rate this answer until you have everything you need. If you
would like any additional information, just post a Request for
Clarification to let me know how I can assist you further, and I'm at
your service.

All the best,

I forget to mention another set of reports on Operation Share available here:;jsessionid=E658E13A84ABFF6AE12810120CC28F4C?companyId=00980207&full=1

These are less pricey than the D&B reports, but I'm not familiar with
the type of content they have.

This goes a ways to answering the question, and I can order the
reports and get more info. We're trying to figure out if they are
legit before discussing $$ with them... I like to know why people are
considering investment and if they really have the money *before* I
invest a lot of time. Hopefully one of the reports will have info on
their charter/mission. Thanks!

Hello again,

Thanks for the feedback. I wish I could tell you the "why" of their
motives for investing, but that's information no web search is likely
to reveal.

I had another in-depth look, searching UK newspaper databases for the
company name, as well as the names of the principals, but nothing came
up. Like I said earlier, this is a small company, with not much of
"footprint" on the internet. There is no indication that their
charter or even a basic description of their business activities are
available to the public.

I did find some interesting information on Chieftain Marketing Ltd,
the company in which Operation Share reported a 50% investment.

Chieftain Marketing is at the same address as Operation Share, and has
some of the same company officers -- Mssrs. Houghton and Cornelius --
as well as another Director, David Richard Hilton.

The company has the same accountants as Operation Share, and operates
on a similar financial scale, with outstanding net liabilities to the
tune of 11,000 pounds.

Its business is listed simply as "Other business activities" so I'm
afraid there's no real indication of what they actually do.

Beyond that, I did not find any additional information of note.

Hope this does the trick, but again, feel free to let me know if
there's anything else I can assist you with.
