Historical stock prices are available through some commercial
services, but in my experience, they don't come cheap.
What sort of budget do you have available to purchase this information?

Im aware of such services
(Reuters/Bloomberg/Datastream/E-signal/Trek/Amibroker) but like you
say they can be expensive. My hope was to get my answer from here, if
you are unable to locate the answer or any free sources with the
information I need they where my next stop, starting with Amibroker.
So unfortunatley at this time I have no more budget than the $50 posted.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any free alternatives (other than
manually checking 100's of archived newspapers for daily prices!).
In fact, I'm not even sure the companies you listed provide historical
data going back to the 1930's.
Let me know how this turns out.

Thanks for looking into this for me.
As an update Reuters and Bloomberg only go back to 1990/91 with
historical data. If I find what im looking for I will let you know.
Thanks again for your help.
