Happily, AT&T is one of the few companies to make such information
easily available:

Historical Stock Prices

To obtain AT&T historical stock prices back to September 4, 1901,
select a year, month and date and click GO

Date .................High ........Low .......Close 
January 06, 1994    54.0000 .....52.7500..... 53.7500

you can also look up the value of any stock here an download all the
values in a handy spreadsheet format...the page is geared towards
currency prices but if you look in the box you can see most major
stocks are listed in there..
