i have a uk phone number and i wish to find out who owns it and other
information about them (ie: name, address, etc).  I see the number
listed as the administrator
of www.poker.tv and the company is Jolly Television in Curacao in the
caribbean.  i need a reverse phone number lookup.  i can find
those in america but i need a uk one.  The phone number is 07866

when i ring the number i get a continuous "engaged signal".  ive tried
it several times over the last few months and always the same.  ive no
idea why.  if the number didnt exist or was terminated it would be a
different tone.

ALthough all 07xxx numbers are mobile numbers in the UK... its also
possible theyre "portable" numbers that can be redirected anywhere.  
Its definitely *not* a land line, starting 07xxx.

Although 07866 shows up as "Orange" which is a mobile operator... that
doesnt guarantee the number is orange, because they may have ported it
to another operator.  but its more than likely its a mobile phone and
not a portable number.

Could you tell me more about this story (without revealing anything
you wouldn't want others to know)? Do you suspect something illegal
(or need it for a legal battle)? Did you see it in a bill that you
dispute?

There is no real reverse look up service in the UK. It is possible to
tell what telephone company owns certain ranges of landlines. There is
no directory of mobile phone users. 07... is a mobile phone number.
The mobile phone company may not even know the genuine name and
address of the user.

I know that you can buy reverse lookup for landlines in the UK, but I
have never had any success with mobiles. I dont think one exists

hi if you  are getting a  engaged noise  like long noise sound that
means the number has been inactive for six months and is blocked or
has been blocked by the operator.
