Hi wgadams!!

This will be our first attempt and, as all first attempts, it will be
the easiest way. This worked in many computers, but it failed in
others, and this could be your case, but remember that this answer is
not considered ended until you are satisfied with it, in this case
with the removal of the spyware.

What you need to do is to download a tool called "EliteToolbar Remover":
Please read carefully the text on this page, it has very important
info related to how you must use the program to beat the
self-protection features of this spyware.
http://www.simplytech.it/ETRemover/

IMPORTANT NOTE: This tool should be run from safe mode. It will not be
able to delete files in use by Windows, so running it from a regular
windows session is useless. A readme is included with complete details
on the tool and the malware it removes.
For instructions on how to reboot into safe mode see:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen...src=sec_doc_nam

To download this tool:
http://www.simplytech.it/ETRemover/ETRmvV11B.zip

With this tool you must be able to remove this pest from your
computer, in the case that you cannot do that just let me know using
the request of answer clarification and I will give you more
instructions or, if necessary, I will show you a different procedure
with more advanced tools.

Hope that this helps you.

Best regards,

Just a suggestion... AFTER you clean up the problem switch to Mozillas
Firefox browser, it is much safer and faster then IE in my opinion. I
have had so many problems with IE and browser hijackers, spyware etc,
that I became a pro getting rid of the junk (but I'm not getting paid
to answer this question and it looks like livioflores is on the right
track) SO I offering you a suggestion. Switch internet browsers

Mozilla FireFox, much safer, faster and lighter browser than IE.

. Install 'Spoofstick"
Spoofstick is a simple browser extension that
helps users detect spoofed (fake) websites.
This extension is free and installs in Internet
Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

HI,

Also, one of the best SpyWare elminators just came out, and its from a
big company we all know. Its from Microsoft. If you search
download.com with the terms "Microsoft Spyware", you will find thier
program. It is excellent and considered better than LavaSoft's Adaware
for many reasons, including the fact that Adaware is not as well known
as we all thought.

I also recomend Microsoft's Spyware Remover...
It's simply great and can able block many pop-ups...
