Can anyone identify this singer. She was very popular in South Africa
in the early 70's.I am not sure her name is spelled exactly as above.I
believe she was killed in a car crash before 1975.One of her popular
songs was "Lang Vinter"(Long Winter). On her album there was also a
song called"Sailor stop your wandering".I would like to identify her
exact name and where we can obtain this record(Lang Vinter). |

Hi ali7a,
I have located the name of this singer. However, I have not been able
to locate any cd's with this particular song. Most of the cd's which
include her are compilations of various artists which include a
recording by her:
For example, one cd includes the song "Liefste Madelein". Another
contains "Iewers Op Die Grens".
Please let me know how you would like me to proceed.
Best regards,
Rainbow

I have found one particular cd by this singer on three different
sites. The name of the cd is 'Ons Eie Nagtegaal'. Unfortunately, the
song "Lang Vinter" is not included.
Would this cd interest you?
Best regards,
Rainbow

Hi Rainbow, thanks for your question. It is great that you have found
the singer but "Lang Vinter" is the song that my Father is really
searching for as it holds a lot of memories. It was very popular on the
radio when he was working in Durban (we think it was 1971).We would be
willing to pay $3.00 for her exact name and spelling but the thing we
are really looking for is the song. Thanks, ali
