What is an easy and quick method for folding bedsheets by yourself so
they are perfectly folded without ripples or internal wrinkles? Is
there some trick to doing this? What is it?

I didn't see the original (withdrawn) answer, so I hope that this what you want.

The main trick appears to be to use a large flat surface, so you can
spread the sheet out, and to fold sheets as soon as they are finished
drying. Beyond that, I've provided two links with instructions and
pictures for how to fold a fitted sheet and a flat sheet smooth, crisp
and sized to match each other.

Thanks for explaining (now also deleted).  It appears that you have
vacation homes and hence the special need for such well-ironed sheets.
 When I first read your question, I was thinking that you must be a
most persnickety houseman.

Do you really need the sheets folded that perfectly, or is it your
primary interest to have perfectly ironed sheets on the beds?
If it is the latter, what about finding space to store the sheets
without having them folded so small?  Though I must admit that I do
not understand your ?ironing press? used after their being folded.

I would take the sheet by the middle of the long hems, letting the
corners hang down (maybe standing on something so you don?t have to
hold the sheet so high, and maybe you could mark the middle spot on
the hem to make finding it quicker).  Shake the doubled sheet, fold it
in half, lengthwise, then fold it in quarters, ?accordion-folding?  (
/\/\ ), which makes it easier to avoid wrinkles.  Shake it again and
then place in on a table and weight the part you have been holding
with maybe a padded piece of wood or metal, something heavy enough so
that it holds the sheet firmly while you pull and straighten the folds
at the end of the sheet.  Now you can accordion-fold the sheet  by
thirds (/\/) or quarters again ( /\/\), or maybe just doubling it
over, if that is small enough for your press.  One way or the other,
leaving the ends with the boxed corners extending a little past the
folded ?package? so that the corners don?t get pressed and leave
indentations on the rest of the sheet.

Would this be adequate for your purposes?  Maybe you would need a
larger shelf to store them, if it matters, one deep enough to keep the
untidy corners in the back.

That is what I would try.  Considering your estimate of costs for what
is being done now, if you can?t find a satisfactory way to lower
these, it seems like it would be cheaper just to use plain sheets on
the mattresses.
I don?t find much time saved by using fitted sheets as compared with
tucking in a plain sheet.

My friend who only has use of one arm has developed a method that
allows her to iron and fold sheets in no time. She hangs one edge of a
sheet (?the top edge?) on a washing line with a peg at each end and
other pegs in between consistent with the number of folds she
requires. She then uses a steam cleaner to ?iron? the sheet: this
removes all wrinkles. It?s just as effective as ironing but very much
quicker. She then lifts the bottom edge of a sheet and pegs it on the
line, using the same pegs that are securing the top edge.
