Hi arioch,

Where did you hear/read about this? Is there anything else you can
provide regarding this scientist? What field of science, a part of his
name, etc... Anything at all, no matter how small, may help in this
search. Thanks.

Best regards,
Rainbow

Hi Rainbow,

I was told this by a past associate of his.

I believe he was a biologist. He may have died in early 2004 in the Amazon basin.

He also owned sailing vessel in San Diego.

Probably in his mid-40's.

Hope this helps.

Bob

Hi Arioch,

I have only been able to find a reference to a 53 year-old New Zealand
scientist and former America's Cup winner who was killed by pirates
while sailing on the Amazon River in Brazil. Does this sound like the
individual you heard about?
