Hello there.

I took a pretty good look at the press on Yu-Be, but there doesn't
seem to be a great deal available -- at least not in online resources.

Many of the publications you listed are not routinely indexed in major
databases -- even the ones that focus on popular publications -- so it
may well be that there are more Yu-Be mentions to be found.

However, even the offical Yu-Be site only lists a handful of press
mentions for their product -- I imagine you've seen this already,
though.

But in general, I did not find very much press on this product, except
for some small mentions in:

The NY Daily News

InStyle

The Post-Tribune (Gary, Indiana)

and a publication called

Gifts & Decorative Accessories Magazine

That's it.

The InStyle and Gifts and Decorative Accessories clips are shown on
the Yu-Be website (along with a few others) but the site does not
include the newspaper articles that I found.

I can post the full citation and the text of the hits I have found as
an answer to your question if you'd like. But before I do so, I just
wanted to make sure this would be satisfactory, even with a small
number of listings.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks pafalafa-ga.

I should have mentioned that I already had those articles. I searched
Factiva, Lexis/Nexis, Dialog and NewsLibrary. However, I am in Beijing
China and the both the news.google.com and news.yahoo.com sites are
blocked. I can not access either of them. I was hoping that you could
find more coverage but if none is out there, it is impossible to find
more. Do you want me to pay you the 50 dollars?

Thanks.

You did a thorough and complete job. There is just not much out there.
I would be happy to accept your answer to this question and pay the
fee, no problem. Thanks for you efforts!

Hello again,

Thanks so much for giving me the go-ahead to answer your question.
It's not often someone offers to pay for a researcher's effort, as
well as for the research results, and your gesture is much
appreciated.

It sounds as if you already have a pretty full accounting of recent
press on Yu-Be, but here are excerpts from two items that may have
escaped your review:

----------
New York Daily News
February 22, 2004

HIDDEN TREASURE The bathroom

Colin Heywood spends most of his time in The Bathroom.

No, he's not sick. The British expat simply wanted there to be no
doubt about what he sells in his West Village bath-product shop.

Heywood goes out of his way to stock au courant items (no Burt's Bees
or Philosophy here), some of which are not distributed widely on this
side of the Atlantic. His shop is the only place outside London to get
the rehydrating Lotil Cream ($8.50). The new line of triple-milled
Claus Porto rose bath soaps ($7) just arrived stateside. And the
Japanese Yu-be moisturizer ($25) hasn't been seen elsewhere in the
city.

BEAUTY AND VITALITY; [ALL Edition]

Don't spend this winter in fear of the cold. Instead, step out with
confidence after a trip to C.O. Bigelow with its Yu-Be Moisturizing
Skin Cream. This best-selling moisturizer in Japan contains glycerin,
camphor and vitamins E and B2. The non-greasy formula helps to protect
skin exposed to cold, wind, water and sun. It also helps to heal split
cuticles and smooth rough, dry skin on hands, elbows, knees and feet.
For more information, call (800) 793- 5433 or visit www.cobigelow.com.

and of course, there's the coverage at the Yu-Be site itself:
