I don't know if anyone can help me with this challenge but I thought
that I would ask.
I am looking for a booket, phamlet or other published materials about
the little hambuger taverns. For your information, these where little
Hamburger Taverns that once were located all over the suburb area of
Maryland, mostly in Montgomery County, Maryland. They sold hamburgers
for a very cheap rate. What I am trying to find out is the history of
theses little taverns and a write-up about them. I have asked numorous
organizations and many libraries about this issue but haven't been
able to find very much printed information so far. I do know that
there were 6 or 7 little Hamburger taverns in the Montgomery County
area. I would be willing to pay BIG BUCKS if I could find a booket
that would list them all together, and would tell the history of them.
Maybe something like: ?? Montgomery County Guide to Little Taverns??
Any help you could provide me would be great !! To be expectable: I
have to find a printed brochure of little hamburger taverns in
Montgomery County, MD.

question had been delete, do to the fact that I post personnel

I grew up in Montgomery County, and remember well the taste
and reasonable price of Little Tavern hamburgers. I have
found what I believe amounts to the best history of the
chain that is available, on the internet.
While it includes the name of the man who started the chain,
and the name of the man who restored much of the franchise
later on, as well as several actual addresses of the stores,
it is not a booklet or pamphlet such as you say you must
have for the answer to be acceptable.
It is, however, a "write-up" with a good amount of history.
It even contains a grainy black & white photo of one of the
shops, as well as contact information for a society which
is interested in the preservation of remaining structures.
While the addresses of all locations are not listed, the
article clarifies that the chain started in Washington, D.C.
and spread from there to Montgomery County and other areas,
and there are addresses for 3 of the sites in Montgomery
County.
Let me know if you would be willing to accept this as an
answer.

Hello,
Thank you for responding back to me. I am afraid to say that I know
the article which you found. I believe that I already have it. If the
top title of the entire article is:
Silver Spring's circa 1938 Little Tavern on eBay! Help Save This Piece
of Architectural History!
Then I already have it. This is not something that I am looking for
as I know that it already exist. I am still on the hunt for a printed
brochure. But thank you anyhow.
If it isn't the same please do let me know. As I would like to see
what you might have found for me.
Thank you.

That was one of the pages I found. The one I was more
specifically referring to was this one:
http://www.homestead.com/silverspringhistory/LittleTavernThenAgain.html
Here's a Google search that brings up all related articles
(18 of them) on that site:
