Hi kck13:

I believe the answer you are looking for is the *Graham Cracker*.

Indulge Yourself in Somerset County?s Culture

Quote: "Which multi-million dollar food product can be associated
with Bound Brook in the early 1800?s?...Graham Crackers. Sylvester
Graham, who served as minister of Bound Brook Presbyterian Church from
1828-29, is the originator of the Graham Cracker, which made its debut
in 1823 as a health food. He became a celebrated foods guru after he
left Bound Brook."

Graham Crackers
URL: http://www.snopes.com/food/origins/graham.htm
Quote: "Who actually produced the first 'graham crackers' ? so named
because they were made of the unsifted wheat flour that Sylvester
Graham promoted ? is the subject of dispute. Some sources assert
Graham himself invented the snack in 1829; others claim the graham
cracker did not come into being until 1882, thirty-one years after
Graham's death. (The latter date appears to be based on the year
recipes for graham crackers started appearing in cookbooks.)"

Search Strategy (on Google):
* "Bound Brook" first
* "Bound Brook" invented
* "Bound Brook" "graham cracker"
* "graham cracker" history

Bound Brook was important in the early history of radio communications
(Marconi did work there) and there was a Bakelite plant there, also.
