Who is Dr. Maya V. Patel and what is her occupation? Where is this quote from?

Very strange!!! For someone so widely quoted about subjects from
friendship and dancing to cats and horses, there is absolutely no
trace (so far) of who Maya V. Patel is. I'm beginning to think you
deliberately planted the quotes all over the internet and asked the
question just to pull my leg :)

I did find out that she (??) was born in 1943.

Tell me about it! it's incredibly frustrating. I found the date of
birth as well, but that's where the clues end. I'm also trying to
trace a quote from another "ghost" writer named Jenny DeVries. I think
people are making these names up...HELP!
