I'm glad to know that the information I found met your needs. I have reposted it below. "It is estimated that 8.6 million American women take combined HRT (estrogen and progestin) according to Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories, a drug company that makes Premarin, a type of synthetic estrogen. Another 12 million women who have had hysterectomies (removal of the uterus) take estrogen alone." Imaginis: Contradictory Reports On Hormone Replacement Therapy and Breast Cancer Risk Alarm Women (dateline June 13, 2000) http://imaginis.com/breasthealth/news/news6.13.00.asp "According to the National Center for Health Statistics, 20 million women take estrogen as hormone-replacement therapy." Women's Radio: Feds Label Estrogen a "Known Carcinogen" http://www.womensradio.com/reallife/Health/estrogen_carcinogen.htm My Google search strategy: Google Web Search: "10..30 million women" OR "10..30 million american women" hrt OR "hormone replacement therapy" ://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%2210..30+million+women%22+OR+%2210..30+million+american+women%22+hrt+OR+%22hormone+replacement+therapy%22 Best regards, pinkfreud |
