Dear Jai,
I've scanned the net as well as several databases and found very
little information about Hamilton, especially very little about her
private life (birthday does not appear anywhere). So far, her agency
also haven't provided me with new details (but I promise you to update
you once they do).
The information listed here is about all of the information found that
was not stated in the IMDB biography (which is, by the way, pretty
comprehensive).
Suzanna Hamilton began her acting career at a rather young age: by the
age of 13-14 she did "Swallows & Amazons". She was credited then as
"Zanna Hamilton". She had played since in various stages: movies, TV
theatre and radio (participating in several radio dramas). In recent
years she is more concentrated in theatre, allegedly following the
birth of her son.

The site Holby.TV (see further reference later, regarding quotes from
interviews and other details), claims that she'd appeared on a radio
drama called "Remember Mum" [sic], but I couldn?t find an evidence for
that anywhere except on this site.

Quotes/Interview
================
"ON CHARACTER KAREN : 'She's the sort of person you might get to like
after you'd known her for a couple of weeks, or you might not click
with her at all.. certainly I love looking good, I have been known to
spend all day getting ready to go out in the evening. But what
attracts me to Karen is that I'd have loved to be a doctor in real
life.'
ON BEING A DOCTOR : 'I would like to have trained as a doctor, it's a
completely different way of life from mine. I found I wasn't squeamish
and I watched operations. It was fascinating.'
ON BEING IN CASUALTY : 'There's a strange moment that everyone
experiences, it comes when you sit in the canteen and see an atrocious
head wound opposite you eating curry and chips.'
ON WEARING NO MAKE UP FOR THE ROLE : 'I thought at first that would be
a relief, but starting work at 8.30am, some days looking like death, I
could do with make-up - the works.'"

Private Life
============
As I said before, it seems that Ms. Hamilton is very keen on keeping
her life private. It is known (besides what is written at the IMDB
website) that:
- She has a partner called Steve (SOURCE: Holby.TV, Casualty,
<http://www.holby.tv/db/index.php?id=38,157,1,0,1,0>).
- She allegedly dated, in 1980, Danny Furious of the punk band the
Avengers. In an interview, Danny Furious was quoted to have said:
"I fell in love with an English actress by the name of SUZANNA
HAMILTON and we moved in together but ultimately my addiction got the
best of me and, in Sept 80 I flew back to San Francisco and moved in
with Jimmy and my friend Mark Hubbard and took up where I had left
off... drug wise" (SOURCE: Karl Backman, 2004. "Danny Furious of the
Avengers Interviewed", Summer of Hate,
<http://www.acc.umu.se/~samhain/summerofhate/avengersinterview2.html>).
- When she was pregnant with her son Lowell (b. 5 October 1993), she
was shooting episodes of "Casualty". Holby.TV reports that:
"The cameramen needed patient skill too because Suzanna Hamilton, soon
found she was expecting a baby. In the script Karen became exhausted
from trying to work and swot for exams, so Mike ordered her to take
study leave. In her place at Christmas came Dave Masters." (SOURCE:

Misc. Images
============
Hamilton appears four times in the collections of London's National
Portrait Gallery. The images are not available online, but one could
order them from the National Portrait Gallery Website.

Hamilton also appears online in reference to her nude appearance on
"1984" and "Brimstone and Treacle". Since we cannot post here links to
"adult" oriented site, I'll only note that the site
celebritymoviearchive.com has a listing of those.
This is the information I managed to dig out several databases and the
Internet. I?ve contacted her agent, but since no information has been
sent to me to date, I would leave here his address, in case you?d be
more persuasive than I was.

I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any
clarification on this answer before you rate it. My search strategy
was to search for various variations of her name and of her
activities, and quite frankly: simply to scan and read whatever there
was on my databases. |
