The South Coast Beacon (Goleta, CA) published an article on Aug. 14
about the candidates. However, the article is not online. The filing
deadline has passed for local candidates but challengers had until
Aug. 14 to file where incumbents did not file for re-election. There
is a special recall for 3rd District Supervisor Gail Marshall. So far
the only opponent is retired Sheriff Jim Thomas.
I can only give you the South Coast candidates from this article. The
