pharmaceuticals, is shutting down its headquarters in Santa Rosa to
shift all of its manufacturing operations to Europe and Mexico.?
?The company laid off 25 employees last spring when it moved its
sales, marketing and distribution departments to a sister company,
Nature's Way, in Utah. Another 35 employees will lose their jobs this
fall when Boericke & Tafel moves its manufacturing out of the
country.?
?The decision to close the Santa Rosa offices on Circadian Way came
because the parent company, Schwabe Pharmaceuticals of Germany, has
manufacturing sites in the Netherlands and Mexico that are underused,
said Rob Moore, vice president of operations for Boericke & Tafel.?
?The company, which was founded in Philadelphia, was bought by Schwabe
15 years ago and moved to Santa Rosa in 1992.?
