Question ID: 542032
I would like to know what sunglasses do the actors in Mr. & Mrs. Smith
wear. The couple wear a lot of sunglasses throughout the movie. I
would like to know the brand names for the yellow lens sunglasses that
both of them wear. In particular, I am interested in the aviator style
yellow lens that Angelina Jolie wears in one of the scenes. A complete
answer would include the brand names and model numbers for all the
yellow lens (not sure how many, but minimum of two) sunglasses
throughout the movie and ESPECIALLY Angelina Jolie's aviator ones. I
believe the frame color for that one might be white. Anyone who paid
close attention in the movie would know which ones I am talking about.
The yellow lenses are bright in all the glasses.

Also, I would include a $2 tip if you would tell me which retailer
online or otherwise sells that exact model or any of the other yellow
lens models in the movie in CANADA. That is, no international sites,
only Canadian, as I do not like to pay for customs fees.

Thanks

Dear Tuffkid,

The yellow lensed sunglasses belong to the "Nitro" series by Oliver
Peoples, and according to some sources, had special (customised) lens,
made especially for the movie. According to others, it is only limited
edition, but available for the public to purchase.

The firm's homepage:
Oliver Peoples
<http://www.oliverpeoples.com/>

A list of Canadian retailers could be located here:
Oliver Peoples - Retailers
<http://www.oliverpeoples.com/retail_retailers.asp>

I guess that even if they haven't

Some other online retailers also claim to have similar sunglasses to
the aviator scene:
Mrs. Smith Sunglasses

(from the low price, I suspect this is a replica/similar glasses and
not the "real" model).

Also check out J Ransom LA:
"Brad Pitt wearing "Nitro" Sunglasses by Oliver Peoples. In Mr. & Mrs.
Smith, Brad Pitt wore these great Oliver Peoples Sunglasses with a
limited edition "Shooting Yellow" lens."

What glasses and model is Angelina wearing in this.

And for the link you sent me regarding the replica, I would really
like to know what brand and model is she wearing in that picture.

These are the Nitros!

The replica *might* be, not 100% confirmed, Aero, also by "Oliver Peoples".

Good luck in finding those glasses!

PS - another replica could be seen here:

The nitros are Brad Pitt's. They are rectangular shaped. Check the
link you sent me. The ones she is wearing aren't shaped like Brad
Pitt's.
Some useful info though :)
