I'd like to record a Skype call on my hard drive at the same time I am
on the call using a headset. How can I do this?

I assume you use a microsoft windows system.

Solution #1:
First you will have to open the windows audio recorder available on
all standard windows systems.
Second you must use the windows mixer and open the channnel wave-mix
(maybe stereo or mono mix) and adjust the recording level so your
recorded sound is clear and not distorted
Different sound cards may show very different control names as there
is no standard naming convention for the controls.
Now if you get a skpye call all you got to do is press the record
button of the windows audio recorder and save the recorded file.
This will generate a rather big file however as the files are stored
in wav format. You may use any wav --> mp3 converter later to save
space on your harddisk by convering the large wav file into a small
mp3 file.

Solution #2:
Another way - a little bit more comfortable, but you will have to
download and install a free software:

"This version is advertisement supported (NO popups). It will allow
you to enjoy all the advantages of HotRecorder? for free (record, add
Emotisounds?, play, file, share your conversations held over the web
and use the VoiceMail for Skype?)
We guarantee No Spyware, No Malware, No Adware"

The recorded files will be much smaller.

I hope this solves your problem.
