Software packages such as Apache HTTP, Microsoft Internet Information
Services, Sun One, and Zeus

Apache Pros:
you can use on virtually any OS
strong script support (php)
very stable/reliable/secure
easy to incorperate database (MySql)
Extremely cheap (all the above are free)

Apache Cons:
difficult if not impossible to install/ use ASP
most programmers use asp instead of php since most programmers are
familure with MS development tools

Microsoft IIS Pros:
easy to install/use
instant access to databases
lots of programmers ready to design dynamic pages for you

Microsoft IIS Cons:
only avalible for MS Windows OS
Can be costly (but IIS comes with most Windows OS)
not as fast or stable (in my experience) as apache
more system resource hungry
