"A research report from The Yankee Group found that 67.6 percent of US households in 2002 contained at least one PC, and the investigators foresee three-quarters of all US households containing PCs by 2007. The UCLA study found that surprising numbers of households have more than one PC. And, in cases where more than one PC is present, the home computers are often networked." "Specifically, more than 25 percent of the respondents in the UCLA study reported having multiple PCs at home, and nearly 10 percent claimed three or more. Of the participants with more than one system, 32 percent had networked the machines." http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0%2C1895%2C903358%2C00.asp |
