Yes, there was a place called Grove in Kurhessen (official name:
Kurfürstentum Hessen). More precisely, Grove was located in the
eastern half of Schaumburg County which was an exclave of Kurhessen
situated 30 kilometers west of the city of Hannover. Since 1454, and
still in the timeframe you mentioned, Grove belonged to the
administrative district Amt Rodenberg. The village still exists today;
it is now a town disctrict of Rodenberg township.
