Hi David,

To view images obtained by NOAA geostationary satellites, you need to
visit the NOAA GOES page:

Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites
http://www.oso.noaa.gov/goes/

The GOES page offers Real Time images taken by NOAA satellites.
Schedules are available on the NOAA GOES page by area.

For another method of viewing satellite land images, try GlobeXplorer:

GlobeXplorer Aerial Atlas
http://www.globexplorer.com/cfviewer/viewer.cfm

By clicking the directional arrows, you can align the viewer with any
geographical area you wish, then obtain satellite photos by clicking
within the area, clicking within the "MapQuest" box (to narrow your
search) or by entering information in the navigation box on the right.
Try it with your own address for a scarily detailed photo of your
neighborhood and home!

Hope this helps you find the images you want!

Hello,

I also did a bit of research on this and also highly recommend
MapQuest, which has full-color aerial photographs of US-based
locations and displays objects up to 1-meter visibilty.

http://www.mapquest.com

One of the first and largest sites, created by Microsoft, is
TerraServer. They have black-and-white aerial photographs taken by
USGS and Russian Spy Satellites among other sources with locations
from all over the globe.

http://www.terraserver.com

For color aerial photographs of parts of UK, take a look at MultiMap.

http://www.multimap.com

I ran across a site in my research that includes over a hundred Aerial
Photograph and map sites from all over the world that may interest
you:
