Electric Gondola Websites, LLC (http://www.electricgondola.com) is the
name of my website design company.  For a year I've been trying to come up
with a catchy slogan that ties in web design and Gondolas.  Gondolas
being the boats commonly found in Venice.  I can visualize a catchy
metaphor to tie all this together but I can't seem to be able to put it
into a snappy slogan.

Those are very close to what we're looking for...maybe this will help

Similarites between gondolier and web designer:

How about something that compares the ideas of "surfing" to "riding in
a gondola". Something like:

or alternatively:

sublime1's "information supercanal," though!)

I have a suggestion that may be useful after you trounce your
competitors: you can send a sympathy card saying "My Gondolences on

My immediate reaction to "steer" is a permanently inconvenienced bull,
but that probably is because I'm from the south.  lol  I like "A
smoother way around the web" too.  Also, after referring to your site
once as Electric Gondola Websites, LLC, I would make all other
references as "Electric Gondola" in the site text.

My ideas:

Electric Gondola - "Just sit back and enjoy the ride."

With this, you could also create a tiny silhouette of a person in a
gondola looking at a computer monitor while the gondolier steers the
vessel.  Put the graphic at the beginning of the slogan line with the
boat facing left.  I think of relaxing when I think of a gondola ride.
 Or an image of a computer board (or some example of cyberspace
connections - lines and wires) with a tiny gondola silhouette making
its way through the circuits.

We're impressed with the effort and number of responces we've
received. My co-workers and I have had some good laughs. (My
Gondolences on Your Loss.) Nice. :)

There are a lot of great suggestions, but so far nothing stands out
supreme.  The ideas are all so very close to what I'm looking for.
