Hello ynot1312-ga,

It seems that finding "the average rental rate for a commercial
storefront property" near Polk and Pine may not be possible. Have you
seen this recent article about the recent changes happening with the
transformation of "Polk Gulch"? The rental rate for a commercial
storefront in this area will likely depend on exactly where it is and
what it's neighbors look like.

Gentrification pushing out 'hookers, hustlers'

You will probably have to talk to a real estate agent who is familiar
with the area and the specific building you're thinking about. Would
finding a couple of such agents be a satisfactory answer to your
question?

I look forward to your clarification.

Yes, czh-ga, the names and numbers of a couple of real estate agents
that specialize in that area would be very helpful... thanks!

Hello ynot1312-ga,

Thank you for accepting my suggestion on how you might get the local
real estate information you need. I?ve collected some community
resources and realtor listings that should be able to put you in touch
with realtors who are informed about the current rental rates for
commercial properties in your target area.

Best wishes for your project.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Polk Gulch cleanup angers some
Gentrification pushing out 'hookers, hustlers'
Wednesday, October 12, 2005

"The prostitution and drugs are still here, but overall, it is getting
better," said Ron Case, a local architect and past chair of the Lower
Polk Neighbors Association. "The bars are changing from down and outs
to upscale, and people are realizing it can be nice and safe here, and
they don't have to walk over passed-out people and vomit."

Gay Shame calls the Lower Polk Neighbors Association a "brutal
gentrification squad" of wealthy business owners, slumlords and
bureaucrats.

Carolyn Abst, current chair of the Lower Polk Neighbors Association,
said O'Reilly had taken a big gamble on the neighborhood and was
exactly the type of business she wanted.

***** I looked up the Lower Polk Neighbors Association to see if that
would provide some phone numbers for Ron Case or Carolyn Abst.
