reregistrations and any other factors that could otherwise result in
duplication in the vehicle counts.?

Transport web site which referred me to the Bureau of Transportation

I asked " How many vehicles are there in the USA?"
you answer with "235,331,382 vehicles" but that was for 2001
I need to know for now, today, as of 2005.

Also I need to know how and where you get your answer.
so that It dont look like you, or I just made up an answer.
how can I find the answer.

As I indicated in my answer it would have been helpful if you had not
rated my answer before you were completely satisfied with the answer.
Any difficulty with my answer could have been resolved before you
rated the answer.

Now to your points of clarification.

Point 1. Vehicles now in the US (2005). 

Reliable and accurate information for 2005 is not available. I could
have provided all sorts of estimates and guesses which range from 175
million to 250 million. Also these figures may not include all types
of vehicles. I believe that you wanted accurate information which is
why I gave you that information. It is the last most comprehensive
US-wide data available. If you wish me to give you unreliable
information, then I will.

Point 2. ?Also I need to know how and where you get your answer.?

As I stated in my first paragraph of my answer, the information comes
from the United States Bureau of Transportation Statistics. The links
I provided to the information seem to have now expired. I have re-done
