Most sources estimate the fuel consumption of a typical NASCAR car at
approximately 4 to 6 miles per gallon.

I ran across an article that might be of interest to you. NASCAR will
be switching to unleaded fuel. It will be interesting to learn how
this will affect the cars' fuel mileage:
