I am seeking a list of professional wine storage facilities in the US.
This list will include storage facilities that are open to the public
for storage of private wine collections. The facilities should have
active temperature and humidity control of the storage area and rent
space to private collectors on a locker or per case basis. A sample
list is available here
http://www.wine-searcher.com/storage.lml
I know there are far more facilities in the US than are listed at the
above link. Given that there are 24 listed here, I would like a list
of 100-500 additional facilities.
Sample facilities include:
http://www.vinfolio.com
http://www.winecellarage.com/
http://www.zachys.com/commerce/storage/default.asp
Many high end wine retailers have their own storage facilities or
links to third-party storage facilities they can ship to. Inclusion
of both in the list is desirable:
http://www.klwines.com/wine_lockers.asp
http://www.klwines.com/shipping_questions.asp - near the bottom is a list
Other high end retailers may have similar lists on their sites.
Storage facilities typically fall into three types: 1) Wine Retailers
with onsite storage for customers 2) High end secure facilities
specializing in wine storage only + premium services including
inventory and shipping, etc. and 3) Self Storage facilities (A1,
U-haul, etc) with an upgraded area dedicated to wine. While all are
valuable on this list, I prefer the retailers and high end facilities
specializing in wine. The type of facility should be noted in the
entry if possible:
(Retailer with Storage/ Wine Storage Only/ or Self Storage)
The list should include the following in this format:
***
Facility Name
Address
City
State
Zip
Phone
Website Address
Facility Type (Retailer with Storage/ Wine Storage Only/ or Self Storage)
Storage Price in Dollars Per Case (optional)
***

The list should be for the entire US, but priority should be placed on
major urban cities first:
New York
San Francisco
Los Angeles
Chicago
Etc.
....
Top 50 cities by population can be found here

Wine intensive areas such as Napa & Sonoma, CA should also be included
as I expect there will be concentrations of these types of facilities
in these locations. |

Hello wineinfo-ga,
Regarding your request to include "Storage Price in Dollars Per Case
(optional)". I notice that storage companies present their rates
differently, and most I have come across do not charge by *a* case,
but rather by a number of cases; and some charge by the month, the
quarter, and/or the year. Others charge by the locker or room. How how
would you like this data to be noted? Would you prefer monthly rates,
annual rates, or both?
Here are some links to pages showing rates:

Hello bobbie7 - I am very confident at least 100 facilities can be
found. This would be the minimum. More facilities would yield a more
generous tip.
Hello jackburton-ga - I noted this field as optional because I
expected there would be a variety of pricing models. I would be happy
to standardize on monthly pricing if you can find that. I realize
there is no standardization so whatever you find is helpful. If
monthly pricing is unavailable for a specific facility, then you might
note yearly if you find it.
Thanks,

Hi jackburton-ga,
If the facility has a link to a specific page summarizing pricing as
you provided in the example sites - the link to the pricing is more
valuable to me than the average cost/price. In a perfect world I
would get a link and an average monthly cost, but the link to the
pricing summary is more valuable to me.
Thanks

Also, would you prefer the State be abbreviated (e.g. CA, CO) or
written in full (i.e. California, Colorado).
thanks.
