My company currently sells an enterprise software product to large and
medium sized businesses. We are beginning the process to decide
whether the proceed and if so, how to execute.
The basic part of this research is straight forward: Please provide
me $20 worth of research to provide information that would help me
develop a business plan to transition from an Enterprise Software
Model to an SaaS model. This may include things like:
- why provide Saas (vendor perspective)? Why Not?
- Why will customers want Saas? Why not?
- Lessons learned from Vendors or Customers
- All the things to consider when delivering SaaS
- Pricing models
- Case studies
- Implementation considerations
- hosting vendors and considerations in selection
- etc. (things that help build a business and execution plan)
[I completely trust the researchers' judgement on what constitutes
"$20 worth of research"]
In addition, I will pay a tip of up to $25 more for all or some of the following:
- References that provide some great, unexpected, insight
- A sample business plan for a SaaS model (even better if it's moving
from Enteprise to SaaS model).
- Data around the adoption rates of SaaS, projections for Saas
- Survey results that show customer attitudes/concerns/willingness to adopt SaaS.
P.S. If it matters, this will be US based to begin with and is all I'm
concerned with at the moment.
