Where can I buy UNwaxed cinnamon dental floss?  It would have to be
available for purchase near San Antonio TX, or online.

Reach used to sell unwaxed cinnamon floss, but the product was
discontinued.  I THINK that Safeway grocery stores sold their own
Safeway brand of unwaxed cinnamon floss, but I don't live near any
stores and can't find it on their website.
I found one site that claimed to sell unwaxed cinnamon floss, Chelsea
Distributors, but when I ordered, they said it was permanently out of
stock.  It's still on their website at

Anyotc.com claims to have the old reach product, but they have
substituted Reach CleanBurst Cinnamon, which is a waxed product.

This UK site has Reach Cinnamon floss, but does not state if it is
waxed or unwaxed. Try e-mailing them, and also inquire about shipping
to the US. I recently purchased gloves from a UK site that did not
mention shipping to the US, but they were more than happy to do so,
and the price was the same for within the US shipping!

The pocket floss products are waxed, and I believe that the oral sense
is as well.  Sent an inquiry to double check.

I'm quite sure that the Johnson and Johnson product sold by the UK
company is waxed, as it looks like the one they sell in the US.  Sent
an inquiry to double check.

I didn't see the cinnamon reference from the Ranir web page that you
copied, but I sent an inquiry to them just in case.

Also sent an inquiry to the vendor from Columbia; I had not seen that
site before.  Good find.

Hi crabcakes,
  All the vendors listed came back and said that they do not have
unwaxed cinnamon floss.  The only exception is macrolab.  Email
directly to them came back as undeliverable, and they have not
responded to a web form inquiry.  My guess is that they no longer
exist.
  This is my first time trying to use Google Answers.  Although you
didn't lead me to a vendor that I could order from, I don't think the
work you did should go unrewarded.

There is not an online reference to (cinnamon flavored unwaxed floss),
but we could try it out and see. Typically, dental floss flavors need
the was as a means of keeping the taste on the floss. Please let me
know what kind of floss you need and the amount, and in what kind of

I just wanted the product as a consumer, so I'm not ready to have
someone investigate starting up a new production.  I got a similar
response from Ranir - saying that usually you use wax to affix the
flavoring on to the floss.  I would have taken that to heart, but I
know J&J sold an unwaxed cinnamon floss product until quite recently.
  It must not have sold very well, and from your and my research, I
feel that there is likely not any more being made.  Thanks for the
follow up.

these stores all appear active, tho you can't really tell til you get
the goods!  other ideas: keep an eye on eBay auctions; ask your
dentist to special-order.
